Book Personality Challenge

I have to thank Kate @ meltingpotsandothercalamities for tagging me for this interesting tag. I’ve taken the test a couple times before and also end up with one of two personality results. It was cool to take it again ans see what I ended up with, so thanks!

Check out her personality results and answers here.

WHAT IS YOUR MBTI PERSONALITY TYPE:

Screenshot (28)

“INFP personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine…At their best, these qualities enable INFPs to communicate deeply with others, easily speaking in metaphors and parables, and understanding and creating symbols to share their ideas.”

What is your personality like:

INFPs often drift into deep thought, enjoying contemplating the hypothetical and the philosophical more than any other personality type. Left unchecked, INFPs may start to lose touch, withdrawing into “hermit mode”, and it can take a great deal of energy from their friends or partner to bring them back to the real world.

There are some sections I disagree with completely, but this part was too true lol.

If you were a character in a book, what would be some of you character strengths and flaws?:

Strengths:

  • Open-Minded and Flexible – A live-and-let-live attitude comes naturally to INFPs, and they dislike being constrained by rules. INFPs give the benefit of the doubt too, and so long as their principles and ideas are not being challenged, they’ll support others’ right to do what they think is right.
  • Very Creative – INFPs combine their intuitive nature with their open-mindedness to allow them to see things from unconventional perspectives. Being able to connect many far-flung dots into a single theme, it’s no wonder that many INFPs are celebrated poets and authors.

Only part I disagree with is disliking having my ideas and principles challenged. As long as the person isn’t intentionally rude about it, I usually enjoy the challenge and the new perspectives that come with it.

Flaws:

  • Impractical – When something captures INFPs’ imagination, they can neglect practical matters like day-to-day maintenance and simple pleasures. Sometimes people with the INFP personality type will take this asceticism so far as to neglect eating and drinking as they pursue their passion or cause.
  • Difficult to Get to Know – INFPs are private, reserved and self-conscious. This makes them notoriously difficult to really get to know, and their need for these qualities contributes to the guilt they often feel for not giving more of themselves to those they care about.

Though I wonder if that last one would really be a flaw in a book character…

Do any authors share your personality type?

J.R.R. Tolkien & William Shakespeare

What fictional characters share your personality type?

Frodo Baggins & Arwen from Lord of the Rings

Fox Mulder from X-Files (LOVED that show) & Lance Sweets from Bones

If you were a character in a book, what job would you have?

According to the results, an author, translator, or something in “service careers such as massage therapy, physical rehabilitation, counselling, social work, psychology and even academic roles“.

What personality type would complete your OTP?

Not really sure…maybe my other personality test result?

What are some fictional characters that would complete your OTP?

Umm…this one is pretty hard…I have no idea lol.

Tag Rules:

1. Mention the creator of the TAG.

2. Use the image that you find in this article.

3. Mention the blogger who has chosen you.

4. Answer the questions.

5. Mention 9 bloggers/friends and let them know through a comment on their blog.

The Questions:

1. Describe your 2016 in 3 words.

Sloth, procrastination, anime/manga. Lol, I kid. Really it’s more like: Reading, manga/anime, procrastination. That’s much more accurate.

2. Write the name of 2 people that have characterized your 2016.

This is a hard one. Umm… I’ll have to go with Collen Hoover and Hiromu Arakawa. Yes, those are both authors, but their masterful writing left me feeling like my life would never be the same afterward lol.

3. Write the most beautiful place you’ve visited in 2016 and why you liked it so much.

Surprisingly enough it’s a local park nearby that I never knew existed. I’ve always loved forests and such so this took the top of the list. Otherwise, it would be the biggest library in my city….yup, that’s right up there too and for obvious reasons.

4. Write the most delicious food you’ve tasted in 2016.

Easy: The giant oatmeal chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies at The Planet Bakery, as well as the warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce with whipped cream at Nata’s Cafe. The large ass chocolate lava chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup topping at Red Lobster, and the giant, warm white chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a generous amount of chocolate syrup at….whatever that place was called. I LOVED THEM ALL!

200-1

5. Write the event which has marked you more of this in 2016 (even global event).

BookCon! Bookoutlet’s annual box sale! Both are the events I anticipate most each year, so of course, I have to go with that. And if I’m being honest I don’t really remember much of 2016 as things were pretty uneventful outside of that.

6. Write the finest purchase you’ve made in this 2016, and if you want link a photo.

Umm, well, books of course.

I get the feeling there’s a running theme here, lol.

7. Write 3 good intentions for this 2017.

  • Curb said procrastination (something I haven’t started yet but will….soon)
  • Donate rather than return/re-sell my unwanted books
  • Become better acquainted with my limitations and capabilities

8. Write 1 place you want to visit in 2017.

ANIME NORTH!!

Image result for anime north

Of course, this event already passed with me not going, but there is also Fan Expo coming up which I also hope to go to!

9. Write 1 plate/food you want to eat in 2017.

Really, I can’t honestly just list one here….or really at any time I’m asked to name “just one” lol, so I’ll go with a place rather than a specific dish. I’d like very, very, very much to visit an all deserts restaurant at some point this year.

*I have a lot of tags/awards to catch up on so I may occasionally shorten the number of people I tag/nominate since so many of you have already done these tags/awards. Also, there’s never any pressure for you to actually do the tag/award or respond right away (I’m months behind myself lol). Feel free to just consider it an honorable mention* 🙂
